Krainn Update

Well, after problems with a lot of glitches in Krainn, we’ve decided to make the game more like wOne (click here to play) by Sean Cooper. Instead of having the gear, which was really glitchy, we’ve decided to only have the ball. The goal of each level will be to try and climb all the way up the the top of the level where the exit will be. One catch: you have to be careful and watch your fuel level! If it gets down too far you’ll have to restart the level. Get the food to keep going! The trick is to get your momentum going fast enough that you will be able to bounce all over the level and make it to the end.

This will be a fun little game, but also pretty challenging. We hope it’ll be fun enough to come back to (one of our staff members played one level for about 30 minutes before getting tired of it! Now that’s dedication). The game overall should have about 25 hard levels, as well as an extra 5 co-op. All levels will be unlockable (unlock Capsule, where you had to beat the entire world to get to the next unlockable). This will allow you to easily leave the game for a bit and come back right where you left off. We will have a special beta test for you guys released here soon.

Best Regards,

P.S. It looks like Aeroplay is winning!

Krainn Character Attributes

Character attributes for Krainn:

BALL – bounces, can move faster than the gear, can jump higher
GEAR – does not bounce, can only move right and left when in the air, can launch far if in a corner or on a corner, can stick to walls, can walljump (VERY hard to do)

This game is going to be a game of physics, in which you have to climb up and get to the top of each level where the exit will be. It will be quite challenging at times, but I think you should be able to get each level completed. We may add some more characters later on in the game.

Games….

Well, we haven’t really told you recently what games we’ve been working on, so the list is below (in order of expected release date)

  1. Pizzle Puzzle [Demo] – In this tough puzzle game, you have to find out in each level how to get the crate to the exit portal. The demo will have about 10 levels, and the full version will have 50. This game has a surprise though…it was formerly known as Fill The Order! We’re finally working on it. And yes, it will have a level editor.
  2. Krainn – the prequal to Capsule, Krainn is fun platform adventure game in which you play as a gear, and have to use your special abilites to help prevent full scale war! This game will have about 20-25 story levels, with an added 5 co-op levels.
  3. Clay 2 – probably one of our most anticipated game after the release of Clay, this sequal is going to be one of our most professional looking games yet. It will have 20 levels, a two player minigame, normal tetris, and a level editor (we might also have an online database where you can upload levels).

Also, we’re starting to get ready for Ball Wars II: The End, which we’ve decided will be a platform maze game.

Pizzle Puzzle

Since the minigame we were working on for this month (To The Top) failed miserably, we’ve decided to instead release the demo version of Pizzle as this months minigame. The demo will have 10 overall unique and challenging puzzle levels, in which you have to figure out how to get the crate to the portal at the end of each level. The final version will have 50 levels [all unlockable]. We are not sure when this will be out, but we can guarantee you that it will be one of the best games we release this year—right behind Clay 2. Also, if the game fits the guidelines for YoYo Games’ competition05, we may be able to enter it into the competition. This game will have nice simplistic graphics, yet very good gameplay. We can’t wait to release the demo this month! We also hope to release screenshots here in the future of it.

More Clay 2 Notes…

Well, we’ve decided that for Clay 2 the blocks must come out randomly, and we’ve just gotten help from someone on the YoYoGames website so we can do that! Also, there will be several minigames/bonus content that you can play if you get tired of playing the actual game. The list of bonus games/extras are below.

  1. Tetris [yes, we will actually have this]
  2. Clay Platformer [a two player game; quite a challenge!]
  3. Block generator [generate as many blocks as you want]
  4. Level editor [create, save, upload--then people can play your levels!]

All of those will be available here in March as a part of Clay 2. Also, as said with the level editor, you will be able to create levels, save them, test them, and even upload them to an online database where people can download your level and play it. Overall, it is NOW estimated that Clay 2 will take up about 2 hours in story or longer [with the bonus content you can just keep going]. Keep coming back here to find out more about Clay 2.

Best Regards [yes, back to that again]

Clay 2-Development Notes

We’ve decided to give you all a sneak peak at Clay 2. The sequal to Clay, this will have much nice graphics, longer gameplay, more difficulties, plus bonuses. Also, the blocks will come out in a random order, and there will also be an occasional wild block which can be placed anywhere. There will be an unlockable minigame in tetris style, which will be pretty hard. In all, it is estimated that the game should consume about an hour and a half or more of your time!

Now, enough with the telling, and we’ll start showing! Below are the blocks being used in the game. [image may be updated in the future]

Currently those are only just first drafts, not finals. The rainbow colored one is the wild block.

What’s Next?

Well, we’ve gotten some requests as to what we plan on doing next. First of all, we’d like to launch Fill The Order (with a new name though), plus make Capsule 2 and Clay 2. Also, we are planning on making some more minigames, and here’s the order in which we will release them.

February:

  1. Krainn [finally!]
  2. Either ‘To The Top’ or the first Fill The Order minigame
  3. Also, as an extra to make up for January, we will release a random level generator

March:

  1. Clay 2 (a lot of development will be going into this, and we’re starting it now)
  2. Either a shooting game or the second Fill The Order minigame

We’re not sure yet for April, but we would like to get FSS and some other biggys [Ball Wars II] out. Hope you guys stick with us through these next few months! Also, in January we had the lowest number of visits ever, and we hope that this month we’ll be getting more.

Game Updates

Well, first of all, I still get to blog to you guys! Secondly, we decided to post a list of the games we are working on along with a description as to what they are and what’s happening with them.

  • KraiNn – this is a one person game, but you get to switch back and forth between two unique characters and help ‘each other’ in order to get all the keycards to open the exit. This will be done on February 01, and is coming along smoothly.
  • Clay [Minigame] - this is a tetris style puzzle game with levels that get increasingly harder. It will be done this month [January].
  • Dr. U’s Lab – this is a game where you must get each bottle of matching color in rows and ‘pop’ them to get points. We do not know when this will be completed.
  • To the Top [Minigame] – this is a platform game in which you must reach the top of the game in a certain amount of time. This is very short and should only take you about 2 minutes to beat – if you don’t fall. This will be February’s minigame.

Best Regards,

-Para Pro

P.S. Hopefully we will soon be able to get the sound library up and running soon.
